Homeward Bound Voted Best Pet Care in the Lakes Region
We are thrilled to have been named the Lakes Region’s Gold Medal Winner for Best Pet Care (view our listing on page 77) by the Laconia Daily Sun! Employees of Homeward Bound joined my family and me at the Best of the Lakes Region beach party on June 26 at the NASWA Resort. It was such an honor to be named to first place and celebrating with employees was a nice way to recognize that without them we would not have been able to achieve this honor! I asked our employees why they thought we were named Best Pet Care in the Lakes Region. Here’s what they had to say:

Your pets success is our success! Their birthdays are a cause for celebration with homemade pupcakes going to our daily dog walking clients and birthday cards being mailed to our other furry friends. Our employees get to know each and everyone of your pets and we love them all! “Each are unique and special in their own way!”, says Edna. Not only that but you, the pet parents, become a part of our extended family as well. Having a baby? We will rejoice with you! Sick and need medical attention? We send you well wishes for a speedy recovery! Heading to the island for the summer? We might just pop in and say hi!
Pet Care Journals
This is something I always forget to tell new clients about and they are always so thrilled and surprised when they receive their first Pet Care Journal. Who wouldn’t love getting a cute picture and story about their pet while sitting at their desk halfway through their workday? Day after day, our employees capture professional looking pictures and write cute stories about your pet’s care and the human interaction they receive.

Our scheduling software allows our office staff, our pet care specialists, and our clients to all be on the same page. From the detailed profiles our clients fill out about their homes and pets to the notes the office and clients are able to leave to our sitters on each visit there is constant communication about each visit on the schedule. Not only that, but we have behind the scenes employee communications to make sure no directions are ever missed. According to Saige, “The level of communication is incredible and so detailed it allows clients to feel at ease that their babies are being well taken care of.”

We notice everything! Whether it be taking ticks off or noticing a limp or change in behavior to doors left open or something out of place in the house, we have our eye on it and we will notify you immediately if anything seems off. A Homeward Bound employee once saved a client’s generator motor from blowing because the smell in the air wasn’t quite right. We notified the owner immediately and they were able to get someone out right away to take care of it. They were quite thankful they didn’t have to buy a new generator! Another time, an employee saved a client’s home from flooding. And the best thing about that? Since we don’t charge by time, we didn’t have to charge the client extra for our extra time. If we need to stick around longer, we will at not cost to you!

Homeward Bound has been so lucky to have some pretty fabulous employees! They always have the best interest of the pets in mind. They are trustworthy, reliable, dependable, and above all, compassionate! You’ll always be number one, but trust me, our employees will be your pet’s next best friend!
